For a while I didn’t realize that August was wearing his standard shirt and neck-tie, and only saw the tie in the fourth panel.

Thus, I thought he was wearing a sweet turtleneck for his first date with Lola.

you learn something every day! but it should be noted that #3 only works if you guys act embarrassed too, or at least say “excuse me” politely and resist the urge to gloat over your epic burp. ;)

My girlfriend prides herself in being able to belch her ABCs. And her normal burps shake the house they’re so loud. I think it’s the cutest thing in the world (the second being this picture). XD

I DO NOT UNDERSTAND THESE. Why in some comics are you happily married to a great blonde girl and in other comics dating a black haired chick. I have been trying to figure this out for a while, and look for clues as to what i missed that everyone else is getting… but i still dont get it. DONT CHEAT ON YOUR WIFE. It makes me feel bad for her. :-P Seriously though i dont get it.

Well, PJF started out as a totally made up world and made up characters (August, Ed Gramps, Lola – the black haired one), but after a while I started putting in funny stories from my own life as ‘semi-true-tales’ they usually feature me and my wife, and sometimes our dog. My character is drawn confusingly similarly to August’s. I’m married to my wife in real life (the blonde one), and August is living with his little brother and Grandfather, and dating Lola (the one with black hair).

Confusing, I know. :\

I’m going to assume your wife’s name is Lola and she went through an emo phase when you first met her, and they are stories of how you fell in love. *Nods* I could assume that they’re completely separate like you just told me they are… but my brain is happier with my version.
